This 1991 Mazda MX-5 was previously used as a half detailed marketing car for Hansen Auto Detailing. The project showcase can be found here:

I purchased this vehicle from a friend who inherited it in 2019 from family. It was purchased new in 1991 by her aunt and used as a daily driver before being stored at home in California within the family. The half detail took place in late 2019, it was then taken to 2 car shows before the covid pandemic shut down all gatherings. Both sides have now been corrected and the mariner blue paint has been coated with Undrdog Pro coating rated at an 8 year lifespan. Trim, glass, and convertible top have also been coated using Undrdog Pro.
Over $5000 of labor and parts has gone into preparing this MX-5 as a daily driver once again. A 1.6 liter DOHC Inline 4 engine is mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission sending power to 14 inch wheels wrapped in brand new Sailun Atrezzo SH406 tires. Features include a new JVC stereo head unit, overdrive toggle switch, power windows, cupholders, cruise control, power steering, headrest speakers, and a new AC system converted to modern R-134a.
Other work performed on the vehicle includes:
-Oil change and coolant flush at 92,297 miles.
-Brake service.
-New windshield.
-New front turn signal housings.
-New convertible top.
-Battery replaced.
-Water pump, timing belt, alternator, and coolant hoses replaced.
-Engine CAS O-Ring replaced with new Viton O-ring.
-Door sill trim replaced.
Minor dents can be found in the bodywork, particularly the front bumper. The passenger seat headrest shows wear, and some paint bubbling can be found on the driver side pillar. The hood, passenger fender and door have been repainted during previous ownership. The steering column trim panel is unmounted but sold with the vehicle. The original ash tray is sold with the vehicle along with the original but broken radio. The trunk contains a spare wheel and touch up paint is included in sale. A cloth car cover is included with the vehicle.
The odometer shows 93,081 miles. Title is in hand under seller’s name and records showing recent service are on hand. Recent Smog check has been passed.
I restored this MX-5 to the extent that I would personally want it- as a largely original vehicle that looks beautiful enough to compete in car shows but that can be comfortably and reliably driven daily.
